The Modern History Exhibition surveys the main moments leading to the proclamation of the National Independence (1877) and to the achievement of the Great Union (1918). Many displayed items belonged to some important figures who played an important role in the Romanian history, such as: Christian Tell, Gheorghe Magheru, Carol Davila, Alexandru Dimitrie Ghica, Alexandru Ioan Cuza, King Carol I, etc.
