The Prehistory Exhibition contains a series of archaeological items which illustrate both the development and spreading of the Stone, Bronze and Iron Ages over the Romanian territory and their typological integration within the European cultural areas. Among the attractions, we may mention the Neolithic Anthropomorphic Idol of Reşca (Olt County) and the Bronze votive plaque, “The Thracian Knight”, discovered within the ancient Dacian fortress of Polovragi (1st century B.C.).
